Job Description:

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and evaluate potential supplier and vendors.
  • Request and analyze quotations and proposal.
  • Negotiate terms, pricing and delivery schedules.
  • Monitor and ensure accuracy of the purchase request process performed by Purchasing Assistant.
  • Manage and liaise with supplier on any non routine or adhoc matter.
  • Monitor vendor performance, quality of goods and compliance with agreements.
  • Monitor and follow up delivery schedule with supplier.
  • Resolve supplier-related issues and disputes strategically.
  • Work closely with with warehouse and logistic team to track inventory levels and related purchasing matter.
  • Prepare regular procurement reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Contribute to cost-reduction initiatives
  • Monitor purchasing budget and supporting forecasting activities.
  • Provide training/guidance in purchasing process/system to new comer and/or any team member in the department.
  • Support purchase request process in the absence of purchasing admin
  • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
  • Support Purchasing Manager in developing new procurement improvement plan initiative. Monitor and manage purchasing maintenance
  • Maintain purchase request document filing and safekeeping
  • Coordinate with Warehouse on stock transfer or stock discrepancy matter
  • Collaborate with Sales Team on purchase requisition clarification/communication of delay in delivery from supplier (if any)
  • Generate reports as and when necessary and be requested.
  • Provide training/guidance in purchasing process/system to new comer and/or any team member in the department.
  • Support purchase request process in the absence of purchasing admin
  • Ensuring that all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications. Involve and manage weekly & monthly Container Load Planning (CLP)

Qualification

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within the manufacturing or logistics industry
  • Possess a Bachelor Degree or Diploma in any field.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication skills in Bahasa Malaysia and English (Mandrin is advantage)
  • Independent and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks and priorities
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related fie
