Role Description

The Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a variety of appliances and equipment, including commercial food and beverage equipment, domestic kitchen and laundry appliances. Daily tasks also include troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment issues, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring all services are completed efficiently and safely.

Position Requirements

  • Diagnose and repair household and commercial appliances.
  • Perform routine maintenance on appliances to ensure optimal performance.
  • Install new appliances and ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
  • Stay updated on the latest appliance technologies and repair techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Advise clients on proper appliance care and maintenance.
  • Handle emergency after hour repair requests promptly.
  • Possess a valid passport & manual light goods vehicle license.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • City & Guilds Certificate, CVQ, NVQ or Diploma from an accredited technical institute.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in appliance maintenance and repair.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, mechanical and refrigeration systems.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • An understanding of safety regulations in an equipment repair environment.
  • Computer literate, including email correspondence and Microsoft Office proficiency.
