Job Description:

Morgan Philips is exclusively partnered with a Global FMCG on hiring for their Key Account Manager.

As a key driver of sales activities for important accounts, you will be responsible for achieving ambitious sales targets and market share. You will enhance in-store sales by optimizing product availability, shelf space, brand visibility, pricing, and promotions. By working closely with retailers and the operations team, you'll ensure the product portfolio is well-distributed and promotions are managed effectively to maximize growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing sales strategies and plans to achieve market share and sales targets.
  • Overseeing distributors and operations teams to expand distribution and ensure excellent store execution. You must be comfortable working with distributors, as a strong collaborative and team mindset is essential.
  • Collaborating with the Trade Marketing team for the effective execution of local promotions.
  • Managing accounts receivable (AR) and controlling trade spending efficiently.
  • Partnering with the supply chain team for accurate volume forecasting.
  • Leading, training, and motivating the operations team.
  • Negotiating trading terms and managing trade relations with assigned retailers.
  • Evaluating sales promotions for business growth and ROI through pre- and post-analysis.
  • Advising on financial decisions and identifying growth opportunities for assigned accounts.

We're Looking for Someone With

  • 6-8 years of experience in key account management with modern trade retailers in the FMCG industry, preferably with food categories.
  • A strong track record of successfully growing retail sales performance and delivering on budget and long-term strategy.
  • Must be comfortable working with distributors and possess a strong collaboration and team mindset.
  • Experience with a minimum of two of the following accounts is required: 7-Eleven, Makro/Lotus/Big C, or Tops.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Highly analytical with strong business acumen.
  • Strong influencing skills in managing key stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Additional functional experience in Marketing or Trade Marketing is an advantage.
