We’re supporting our client, a leading plastic manufacturer based in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania who are looking for a Quality Analyst to join their growing team. The successful Quality Analyst

will have experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment, as well as a strong technical background.

Job Summary:

As a Quality Analyst, you’ll be responsible for product quality planning, evaluation, and control. This role works cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that regulatory as well as Quality Management System (QMS) compliance is maintained.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, and manages processes to ensure that products meet required specifications for quality, function, and reliability prior to delivery.
  • Maintain and improve quality system by ensuring documentation, approved supplier lists, training, training, calibrations, etc.
  • Develop/review quality inspection and test plans for new customer products as well as legacy production parts.
  • Communicates quality standards and parameters to entire site and other appropriate staff.
  • Contribute to manufacturing/quality expertise to design reviews for new product development, supplier changes, product changes, and/or improvements for legacy production parts.
  • Construct, perform, and document PPAPs, both to company standards and those of specific customers as required.
  • Perform reviews of first article inspections and recommend improvements in the FAI process.
  • Coordinate the review and resolution of non-conformances, liaising with internal stakeholders as well as suppliers to develop, implement & monitor corrective/preventative action (CAPA) plans.
  • Identifies and analyzes defects and other problems when recurring in multiple products, or when seriously impacting business performance; recommends and facilitates solutions to these issues.
  • Responsible for Supplier Approvals, Source Inspections, and Audits.
  • Take ownership of the QMS system, including leading internal audits as well as external ISO and customer audits.
  • Involved in the hiring and training of staff
  • Oversees the daily workflow and schedules of site quality staff.

About You:

  • Business, or a quality-related field, or work experience that fulfills the requirements of the position, Engineering degree a plus.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) / Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) / Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) is a plus.
  • Quality Control Data Analysis
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Excellent verbal/written communication and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to take initiative and own tasks with minimal supervision
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Must have a strong quality technical background with expertise in Quality Management Systems, AS9100/ISO9001, as well as inspection and manufacturing processes/procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action tools.
  • Working knowledge of NIST / CMMC is a plus.
