Job Description:
The position will manage inventory to optimize customer experience and financial investment while aligning with commercial strategies. This involves guiding inventory management with operational KPIs and collaborating with cross-functional teams like Demand Planners, Sales & Marketing, and Distribution Centers to meet business goals within supply capabilities.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory levels at distribution centers to meet operational KPIs and financial goals.
- Establish and maintain cycle/safety stock and customer service levels with demand planners.
- Prevent inventory excess, shortages, and backorders by collaborating with cross-functional partners.
- Create and provide insights from Purchase, Sales, and Inventory (PSI) plans.
- Place and manage purchase orders and master data to ensure data accuracy.
- Monitor inventory against targets and implement corrective actions.
- Align supply processes with global standards and work with suppliers on improvements.
- Drive continuous process improvements and perform ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Qualifications/Work Experience Preferred
- 3+ years related experience at multi-national company
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Strong business acumen with outstanding analytical skills
- Good attention to details
- Solid knowledge of inventory management
- Advanced skills with Excel and Power Point. Working experience with Power BI is a plus
- Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP) and planning tools
- Database knowledge (SQL, Tableau, etc ) is preferred
- Business level both English and Japanese (spoken, written and reading)
