We Are Looking For
As an Assistant Facilities Manager , you will be responsible for managing the operations of client facilities under the supervision of the Critical Facilities Manager in Japan, ensuring that data center operations are efficient, reliable, and safe.
This position supports the Critical Facility Manager and works cross-functionally to manage the facility management team, organize various documents, maintain facility systems, and coordinate between departments, in order to provide consistent service and meet client expectations. This position works cross-functionally to manage the facility management team, organize and maintain various documentation, support the maintenance of facility systems, and coordinate across departments to ensure consistent service and meet client expectations.
We are looking for a candidate with a strong and solid background in data center operations and proven experience in facility management within large-scale facilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills to interact with tenants and vendors, strong leadership qualities, and solid technical expertise. The ability to collaborate effectively with other departments across the organization is also essential.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the facility and ensuring full compliance with all applicable national and local regulations.
- Ensure the smooth operation of the facility, efficiency, and compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Assist in the development of robust incident and change management processes, disaster recovery plans, and business continuity plans.
- Respond and resolve critical incidents in a timely manner, minimizing impact and ensuring high availability of services.
- Maintain relationships with clients, vendors, and service providers.
- Manage staff within the facility management team.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures, and ensure all staff adhere to them.
- Manage inventory of required supplies and equipment, and place orders as necessary.
- Develop, implement, and maintain various documents, including procedures.
- Facilitate communication between departments and promote a collaborative work environment.
- Assist in the development and management of the facility budget.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in data center operations. Drive opportunities for process improvements, automation, and innovation to enhance operational effectiveness and scalability.
Requirements:
- Associate Degree or higher.
- 3 years or more experience in facility operations and team management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and safety procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills and a strong desire to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Ability to comprehend equipment specifications, contract terms, and scope of work.
- Exceptional customer experience and leadership skills.
- Excellent in problem solving and root cause analysis.
