This role is open to all candidates in Latin America. About The Role As Compliance Operations Manager, you will lead the execution of Félix’s compliance workflows and oversee a team of six compliance operators. Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring that daily tasks such as KYC verification, transaction reviews, sanctions screenings, and expiry monitoring are performed efficiently, accurately, and in line with our internal service levels.

While Félix’s Chief Compliance Officer and Compliance Manager lead the regulatory strategy and external compliance frameworks, your role is to ensure operational delivery on those standards—keeping users safe, partners informed, and our systems running smoothly. You will be expected to manage your team’s workload, coach for quality, and collaborate cross-functionally to improve tools and processes.This is a hands-on leadership role that combines people management, operational rigor, and a deep understanding of compliance workflows in a high-growth fintech environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of six compliance operators responsible for executing KYC, alert reviews, transaction holds, and expiry monitoring
  • Report directly to the Head of Operations and provide regular updates on team performance, risks, and compliance workload
  • Ensure SLA adherence, quality standards, and backlog management across all compliance workflows
  • Act as the main point of contact between the Operations and Compliance teams to translate regulatory requirements into actionable processes
  • Coach and develop team members, ensuring they follow SOPs and maintain high accuracy in their reviews
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to improve tools, automation, and data visibility
  • Flag and escalate suspicious activity or compliance concerns in coordination with the Compliance Manager
  • Own and update operational documentation, ensuring that processes evolve in line with regulatory changes
  • Identify opportunities to streamline tasks, reduce false positives, and improve turnaround time
  • Support new product and market launches by ensuring compliance operations readiness

Requirements

  • Graduate in Business Administration, Law, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (oral & written)
  • 2+ years of experience managing teams in operations, compliance, or risk environments
  • Experience with KYC/AML procedures, sanctions screening, and transaction monitoring.
  • Strong leadership and coaching skills with experience managing a team
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization abilities
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to use data for decision-making
  • Experience with G Suite, Slack, Notion, and ticketing/workflow tools (e.g. Zendesk, Asana)
  • Process-oriented with a strong eye for detail and quality control
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-shift operation
  • Passionate about protecting users while enabling business growth

These are the applicable requisites, although equivalent competencies in any of the above will also be considered.
