NEC Project Manager – Dublin, Ireland (Relocation Opportunity)

Location: Dublin

Salary €130,000 - €140,000

This strategic, national-level programme will transform transportation and enhance the environment by upgrading walking, cycling, and bus infrastructure across Dublin, Cork, Limerick, Galway, and Waterford .

About the Opportunity

The NEC Project Manager will be responsible for impartial contract administration and will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of this major programme. The role would suit candidates with a civil engineering background and specific experience in highways and road infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Scope Development

  • Develop scope and contract documents with design teams.
  • Support tender processes in line with relevant regulations.

Construction Phase Administration

  • Issue work variations.
  • Manage Compensation Events (CEs).
  • Ensure NEC deadlines and requirements are met.

Pre-Contract Administration

  • Act as the employer’s agent in managing contracts.
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 Works Information/Scope.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, or a related built environment subject.
  • Chartered or Incorporated status with a relevant professional institution.
  • Accredited NEC Project Manager or Supervisor (NECReg).
  • Proven ability to manage change and uncertainty while maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Track record of balancing time, quality, and cost to meet client expectations.
  • Experience managing contractors, consultants, and advisors on large (£20M+ value) and complex projects under NEC contracts.
