Senior Data Engineer

Join a high-performing software development unit focused on next-generation financial trading platforms. You’ll work in a Change-the-System (CTS) team, owning projects from conception to delivery. The role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining large-scale data pipelines and infrastructure, ensuring accuracy, performance, and scalability.

As a Senior Data Engineer , you will design, build, and maintain advanced data systems that power mission-critical trading applications. You’ll collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver reliable, high-performance data solutions while mentoring team members and driving best practices.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders to define and refine data requirements.
• Design and implement data models, database structures, and warehouse/lake architectures.
• Develop and optimize complex ETL/ELT pipelines using tools like Apache Flink, Spark, and Airflow.
• Profile, refactor, and improve database performance.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across systems.
• Provide technical guidance, code reviews, and mentorship to team members.
• Align data solutions with the overall data-driven strategy and business objectives.

Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in data engineering with strong Java and SQL skills.
• 2+ years’ experience with Apache Flink and/or Apache Spark.
• Strong experience with ETL/ELT processes and orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow).
• Proficient in designing and implementing data warehouses and data lakes.
• Skilled in Git-based version control and building CI/CD pipelines for data projects.
• Experience in requirements gathering and technical documentation.

Nice to Have

• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with CDP, Python, or Kafka.
