Job Description:

Purpose of Position:

The Commercial Manager is responsible for developing and executing commercial strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and market expansion for Hangana Seafood. This role involves managing key business functions such as sales, marketing, pricing, trading, logistics, Cold Store Services, and customer relationships, ensuring that the company maximizes its market opportunities. As part of the Senior Leadership Team of Hangana, the incumbent aligns commercial activities with the company’s broader business strategy, working cross-functionally to ensure sustainable growth and competitiveness.

The incumbent will be responsible for driving and owning the O&L Persona throughout the business.

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Honor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing or related field
  • 10 + years of experience in commercial roles, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity
  • Strong background in process optimization methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma), supply chain management, and production operations
  • Proven track record in sales, business development, or commercial management
  • Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and P&L responsibility
  • Experience in contract negotiation, key account management, and pricing strategies
  • Familiarity with CRM tools and data-driven decision-making
  • Experience in project management and change management

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Strategy and Planning - Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial strategy to drive revenue, profitability, and market share growth. Develop business plans for new market entries, partnerships, and strategic initiatives.

Sales Leadership and Performance Management - Oversee the development and execution of sales strategies to meet revenue and growth targets. Manage key accounts and strategic partnerships to strengthen customer relationships.

Pricing and Revenue Management – Develop pricing strategies. Analyze market trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to optimize pricing models.

Customer Relationship Management - Identify customer needs and trends, using insights to enhance product offerings and services.

Contract Negotiation and Management - Lead contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and business partners to secure favorable terms.

Financial Performance and Budgeting - Monitor revenue and profitability, providing regular reports to the Senior Leadership Team.
