Wind Turbine Technician (MCE/Troubleshooter)

Description We are seeking experienced Wind Turbine Technicians to join our Maintenance, Commissioning, and Evaluation (MCE) team or work as Trouble Shooters. As a FairWind Wind Turbine Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of Vestas wind turbines. We are looking for experience with the following: V100/110/116/120 for the 2MW platform and the V117/126/136/150/Enventus platform for the 4MW+ turbines.

Your Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience working on Vestas wind turbines, particularly models V100/110/116/120 for the 2MW platform and V117/126/136/150/Enventus platform for the 4MW+ platform.
• Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and software for troubleshooting.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Willingness to travel 100%.

Relevant Certifications

• Valid Global Wind Organization (GWO)
• Other relevant wind certifications

Your Role

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on wind turbines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
• Commission new wind turbines, ensuring they meet operational standards.
• Conduct troubleshooting to resolve turbine malfunctions and faults.
• Collaborate with the control center to address and resolve issues promptly.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of work performed and parts used.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance turbine performance and reliability.
