We have an urgent opening for Boiler Fitter and Boiler DCS Operator for Jinja, Uganda.

1. Boiler Fitter

Responsibilities:

• Install, assemble, and maintain industrial boilers and associated piping systems.
• Inspect boilers for wear, corrosion, leaks, or defects.
• Perform preventive maintenance and repair work.
• Align and fit boiler parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
• Test and calibrate boiler performance to meet safety standards.
• Maintain maintenance logs and inspection reports.

Requirements:

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or relevant trade.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in boiler fitting and maintenance.
• Knowledge of welding, piping, and boiler systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Familiarity with industrial safety protocols.

2. Boiler DCS Operator

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor boiler systems using the DCS (Distributed Control System).
• Maintain optimal operating parameters for efficiency and safety.
• Respond to alarms and troubleshoot system issues.
• Coordinate with field operators for checks and maintenance activities.
• Record operational data, logs, and shift reports.
• Support start-up, shutdown, and emergency procedures.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Instrumentation or relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in DCS-based boiler operations.
• Strong knowledge of steam generation and boiler processes.
• Good troubleshooting skills and ability to work in shifts.
• Understanding of environmental and safety regulations.
