Repair Shop Manager – SMART Body & Rim Repairs

We are launching Mauritius’s first specialist repair shop in Coromandel , focused on small, fast-turnaround body and rim repairs using world-leading SMART repair technology from Denmark . We are seeking a high-impact leader to manage this pioneering operation. The Repair Shop Manager will be responsible for driving team performance, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment.

This role is ideal for a seasoned manager with proven leadership experience , capable of building and inspiring a high-performing team while maintaining precision and speed in service delivery.

🛠️ Operational Leadership

• Oversee daily operations focused on SMART body and rim repairs using advanced Danish technology
• Implement streamlined workflows to deliver high-quality results within rapid turnaround times
• Ensure optimal use and maintenance of specialized SMART repair equipment

👥 Team Management

• Recruit, train, and lead a team of technicians skilled in precision cosmetic repairs
• Foster a culture of speed, accuracy, and pride in craftsmanship
• Set and monitor performance targets aligned with SMART repair standards

💬 Customer Experience

• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing clear and confident guidance on repair options
• Ensure a seamless customer journey from intake to delivery, emphasizing transparency and satisfaction
• Handle escalations with professionalism and empathy

📊 Business & Financial Oversight

• Monitor repair costs, margins, and overall shop profitability
• Approve quotes and invoices, ensuring alignment with service scope and technology value
• Track KPIs and prepare performance reports for senior leadership

• Ensure full compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards

🧰 Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years in automotive repair management, ideally with experience in SMART or cosmetic repair techniques
• Strong technical understanding of bodywork, paint correction, and alloy wheel refinishing
• Proven ability to manage high-volume, quick-turnaround operations
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with workshop software and digital job tracking systems
• Valid driver’s license and relevant certifications
