Import/Export Logistics Manager (Mexico)

Job Description:

1. Oversee and drive import/export logistics operations, including risk identification and contingency planning to ensure smooth daily operations.
2. Collaborate closely with procurement, production, and sales teams to accurately coordinate logistics needs across departments.
3. Ensure compliance with IMMEX, PROSEC, and other regulatory requirements.
4. Organize meetings, document resolutions, and track follow-ups, delivering regular project updates and summary reports.
5. Monitor and analyze logistics data (costs, lead times, service quality) to identify optimization opportunities.
6. Drive the systematization and digitalization of local logistics processes based on business needs.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in International Trade, Logistics, or related fields.
2. 5+ years of logistics/import-export experience in Mexico, with expertise in local regulations and multimodal transport (road, rail, ocean, air). Experience with maquila, dollar APA, or Safe Harbor models is a plus.
3. Proven ability to resolve order exceptions and navigate customs systems.
4. Strong team management, communication skills, and accountability; thrives under pressure and adapts to dynamic environments.
5. Fluency in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
