Job Description:

HGA Biomed Kft is a manufacturing company that manufactures top-quality pharmaceutical, cosmetic and food supplement products. The production includes a full portfolio of manufacturing services: manufacturing services (solid dosage, semi-solid, liquids products) analytical services and packaging services.

In connection with the plans for intensive development, the company is looking for an experienced Deputy Director of Production who will work closely with the company's management and Production and Development Director.

A Deputy Director of Production will oversee production processes ensuring optimal efficiency and quality control. The role also includes managing teams, handling budgets, and cost control. Nominated candidate will develop, track, and drive improvement in applicable measures including operations supply chain, productivity, lead time, raw materials, manufacturing costs, process yields, and reduced inventory investments.

Due to the location of the factory in Kaposvar, it is required that the candidate in the best situation lives near the factory or is present at the factory at least 4 days a week (additional working days from the office in Budapest). Direct reporting line to Operation director and dotted line to Production and Development Director.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production schedules are met within budget
  • Assure compliance to all quality and regulatory requirements
  • Ensure proactive and timely resolution of issues impeding the flow of production
  • Support cross-site results in various production lines’ performance reviews throughout weekly production
  • Lead the hiring, training, planning, assigning, development, and performance management of direct reports and production supervisors, leads, and associates within production area
  • Be involve in projects dedicate to company development

Requirements, core skills / key competencies:

  • 5+ years’ leadership experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment (must have)
  • Master’s degree in pharmacy or engineering
  • Up-to-date knowledge of pharmaceutical production requirements
  • A track record of accomplishment in prioritizing and planning production activities
  • The ability to react well under pressure, to handle multiple competing projects or priorities under tight timelines or restrictions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong sense of urgency and ability to bring projects/details tasks to timely completion with minimal supervision
  • Personal experience leading a Lean transformation in a plant environment with P&L/financial responsibility for successes
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement strategy and results in improving efficiency at plant level
  • Ability to set up and leverage systems to achieve sustainable results
  • Intermediate, active verbal and written English language skills
