Job Description:
As a Live Streaming Operator, you will co-lead the technical production and real-time direction of live shopping broadcasts. You are responsible for ensuring smooth technical execution, managing live show flow, coordinating cues with hosts, and directing on-screen content transitions. This role requires a strong understanding of live streaming technologies, attention to detail, and quick decision-making under pressure. You will work closely with content, commercial, and production teams to deliver high-quality, engaging live commerce experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Live Streaming Production Operations

Set up and operate live streaming equipment (encoders, cameras, audio, lighting) before and during live sessions.
- Monitor live stream quality (audio, video, connectivity) and troubleshoot issues in real-time to ensure seamless broadcasting.
- Manage live transitions such as scene switching, product pop-ups, overlay graphics, banners, and call-to-action cues. 2. Show Direction & Flow Management:
- Direct the real-time flow of the show by coordinating with the host, content team, and backstage crew.
- Ensure the timing and sequence of product showcases, promotional segments, and audience interaction activities run smoothly.
- Maintain communication with the host to cue product highlights, pace adjustments, and audience questions. 3. Technical Coordination & Optimization:
- Prepare and test streaming platforms and infrastructure (e.g. TikTok Live).
- Ensure that broadcast assets (graphics, videos, product links) are properly integrated into the stream.
- Continuously optimize technical setups to improve stream quality and reduce latency. 4. Pre-Live and Post-Live Collaboration
- Conduct technical rehearsals, run-throughs, and equipment checks prior to going live.
- Support post-show technical reviews and suggest improvements based on performance metrics and incident reports.
- Collaborate with the content and creative team to enhance visual and interactive show elements.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Broadcasting, Communications, or related fields.
- 1-3 years of experience in live streaming production, broadcasting, or multimedia operations (experience in live commerce is a plus).
- Proficiency with live streaming software and hardware
- Strong understanding of streaming platforms (TikTok Live etc.).
- Experience in troubleshooting technical issues in a fast-paced live environment.
