Mutual Trust Bank PLC is looking for Assistant Manager/ Associate Manager (Central Verification Unit))
Job Description / Responsibility
The incumbent will play a key role in overseeing and monitoring the verification process of Retail Asset and Liability products in compliance with internal policies and external regulatory guidelines. The position is critical for ensuring operational efficiency, process integrity, and service excellence within the Central Verification Unit (CVU). The role requires close collaboration with underwriting, sales, collections, and branch operations to ensure timely, compliant, and customer-centric outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Verification & Process Management
- Oversee the verification process of all Retail Asset and Liability products, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and policy compliance.
- Maintain turnaround time (TAT) targets for verification and support timely disbursement and account activation.
- Design, implement, and update departmental processes and policies in alignment with regulatory and organizational standards.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure adherence to internal control procedures and external regulatory requirements across all verification activities.
- Identify process gaps or potential risks and propose mitigation solutions in line with the bank’s risk appetite.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Foster collaboration among the CVU, Retail Loan & Card Underwriting units, and other relevant departments.
- Maintain proactive communication with branch managers, sales managers, and the direct sales team to support smooth operations and resolve issues.
Support for Collections
- Assist the collection team by providing timely information, feedback, and support to facilitate recovery efforts.
- Contribute to reducing delinquencies by flagging inconsistencies or high-risk cases early in the process.
Service & Performance Excellence
- Promote a service-oriented mindset within the team to deliver high-quality customer and internal stakeholder support.
- Continuously monitor team performance to meet operational benchmarks and service excellence goals.
General & Administrative Duties
- Execute any other tasks or projects assigned by Management in support of departmental or organizational objectives.
Educational Requirements
- Bachelor/Honors
- Masters
- The candidate must have a Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in any relevant discipline from a UGC-approved university. No third division/class or equivalent CGPA is allowed at any stage of the academic career.
Experience Requirements
- At least 5 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):
- Banks
Additional Requirements
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams effectively.
- Proficiency in data management and analytical tools to support decision-making and process improvements.
- Sound understanding of project and process management principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Bangla.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
