Role Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a bartender role to join the F&B team at Calexico Bahrain.

The primary purpose of this position is the effective execution of the service and drinks.

Duties And Responsibilities Of This Role

General Responsibilities:

• Timely and courteous service to Calexico guests in adherence to Calexico policies and procedures in his or her station, and for all guests in the restaurant.
• Thorough knowledge of menu items, wines, beers, and cocktails.
• Respects legal requirements of alcohol service, as outlined in Calexico Employee Handbook.
• Thorough knowledge and proficiency of the POS system.
• Maintains a clean and organized workstation.
• Maintains friendly, helpful and positive attitude at all times.
• Adherence to company, state, and county sanitation standards.
• Strict adherence to posted schedule and clock in/out at times.
• Attend company meetings and training seminars as required.
• Responsible for training and developing new employees to Calexico’s standards of service.
• Adherence to company uniform and grooming policies.

Position Responsibilities:

• Makes and serves drinks for bar customers and servers’ customers
• Assists servers, bussers, hosts, and other bartenders in their tasks when necessary
• Accountable for making all drinks to recipe and charging the correct amount
• Responsible for all revenues collected to be in the bar drawer at all times
• Responsible for cash handling procedures. Turns in the required amount of cash and charge vouchers daily.
• Assists in making change for customers and servers
• Accountable for cash in bar drawers
• Teaches servers on drink upsells, garnishes and fields all questions in a friendly manner
• Handles all to go orders in a timely fashion (if applicable)

About You

The ideal candidate for this position will have the following experience and qualifications:

• Fluent English written and spoken
• A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Experience working in a multicultural environment
• Bahrain resident or willing to relocate at their own expense
