Enroute International Limited is looking for Pharmacy Assistant

Job Description / Responsibility

  • Ensure medicine stock management for the assigned pharmacy and implementation of pharmacies standards.
  • Provide support and technical input on all issues relevant to pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipment.
  • Ensure monthly consumption reports/inventory from all health facilities are in place
  • Conduct a regular spot check, monthly complete stock count, pharmacy check list and update the related documents accordingly.
  • Monitor the availability of medical products to avoid stock-outs and financial losses generated by expired items.
  • Analyze demands, prepare regular forecasts, calculate replenishment orders and initiate timely stock withdrawal request accordingly.
  • Take timely measures to avoid stock-out and expiry of medicines and supplies.
  • Manage medical stocks ensuring security and maintenance.
  • Ensure medicine receiving and dispatching according to guidelines/SOPs.
  • Perform quality control checks on all items received.
  • Keep all the pharmacy records/documents and inventory accurate and up to date.
  • Ensure timely reporting on stock status.
  • Make sure that the pharmacy medical commodities stored under a proper storage condition.
  • Assist in ensuring Quality Assurance in medicinal and supply management.
  • Assist in ensuring the rational drug use.
  • Strictly follow DGHS and IOM standards with respect to customer-friendly services, confidentialities of medical information, ethical standards and healthy working environment.
  • Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the Supervisor.

Educational Requirements

  • Diploma
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
  • Diploma in Pharmacy with at least 2 years of experience in a medical warehouse/pharmacy Or Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited academic institution.
  • Registration license from Bangladesh Pharmacy Council.

Experience Requirements

  • At least 2 year(s)

Experience Requirement:

  • Previous experience with an international nongovernmental organization is an advantage.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in public health sector in humanitarian crisis situation will be an added advantage.
  • Previous work in Government health system under the Upazila Health System (UHS) will add value the position.
  • Working experience in Cox’s Bazar district and/or knowledge of the Undocumented Myanmar Nationals and Rohingya refugees will be a plus.
