Legal Associate/Senior Associate (Antitrust)

Key Responsibilities:

• Advising clients on a wide range of regulatory and antitrust/competition law matters.
• Preparing, reviewing, and coordinating documentation related to transactions, memoranda, and legal opinions.
• Reviewing legal documents to ensure compliance with competition law.
• Guiding various aspects of competition law, including unfair competition, distribution agreements, and internal policies.
• Conducting legal research on a variety of topics.
• Analyzing decisions issued by the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU).
• Reviewing relevant case law and judicial practice.
• Direct communication with AMCU representatives and clients.
• Participating in due diligence projects, external negotiations, client meetings, and communications with state authorities (including during inspections and dawn raids).
• Managing projects, tracking time, and supervising/mentoring junior associates and legal assistants.
• Participating in business development initiatives (articles and legal reviews, training sessions and webinars, speaking engagements at conferences, etc.).

Requirements:

• A law degree from a reputable university.
• 3+ years of experience in antitrust and competition law (experience at an international or leading Ukrainian law firm is an advantage).
• Fluency in English, including strong legal and business writing/speaking skills;
• Knowledge of additional foreign languages is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and legal research skills.
• Ability to draft complex mid-level legal documents to a high standard.
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Proficiency in MS Office, online legal research tools, and legal databases.
