Job Description:
Main Purpose:
The incumbent of this role provides an overall interface between Supply Team and the local marketing demand for Puma Energy Namibia. On the other hand, this role provides an interface between Puma’s affiliates (Trafigura PTE and Puma Energy) and their customers’ demands with regard to storage and handling of transit volumes.
This role provides Fuel Supply Leadership and manages all supply relationships both internally and externally with key stakeholders throughout the supply chain.
The goal is to efficiently manage product supply chain into the country to meet the marketing demand (to meet Local Customers demand) and facilitate the growth of storage and handling of transit business accounts into one of the leading business channels of Puma Energy Namibia.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities, Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensures fuel Suppliers are done as per agreements/contractual terms
- Maintains effective relationship with key supply chain stakeholders i.e. Namibian National Oil Company and other OMCs.
- Surveyors, OMC’s, Ship Agents and all Puma Namibia’s fuel supply related vendors.
- Organizes monthly demand forecast and supply planning meetings with marketing team and nominating Puma’s volumes requirements.
- Plans for ullage for both local and 3rd party requirements with a view to increase tank turn-around and S&H income.
- Carries out fuel price & margins analysis, maintains availability of price & margin analysis updates as per regulator’s advice and/or upon receipt of new stock.
- Updates contractual customers prices and new B2B / Spot deals.
- Monitors daily and compiles weekly stocks progression reports.
- Drives compliance towards importation regulations for both local and transit products, monitors changes and advises accordingly.
- Reviews and verifies supplier’s claims/Invoices, before payment.
- Prepares vessel receipt advice and proration report, maintains the trail/database thereon.
- Prepares and submits affiliate’s Tender documents.
- Working as a representative of Puma’s Trading arm.
Requirements: Minimum Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Commercial / Engineering / Quantitative studies
Minimum Prior Experience
- 3 – 5 years of experience in fuel importation
